Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting an Engineering Team Leader for a leading Bristol manufacturing site. You will lead a shift-based team of up to 5 engineers, ensuring equipment reliability and driving improvements to maximise plant performance.

You'll coach and develop staff, coordinate planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns quickly, and work with the Maintenance & Engineering Manager to raise standards, safety and output.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Engineering qualification (Level 2 or above).
• Previous experience leading, mentoring or supervising engineers.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Positive, proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
• FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of up to 5 engineers
• Coordinate and oversee planned preventative maintenance activities
• Support rapid response to breakdowns and minimise production downtime
• Drive continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities
• Ensure engineering standards, safety and compliance are maintained
• Work closely with the Maintenance & Engineering Manager to improve site performance
