Job summary

IntaPeople is partnering with a Cardiff fintech scaleup to hire an Engineering Team Lead for the Java stack. The role combines people leadership with hands-on coding when required, and focuses on growing a high-performing team in a hybrid Cardiff office.

You will manage 6-8 engineers, drive milestones, and contribute to greenfield projects using Java, Spring Boot, React, Postgres, and AWS. A clear progression path to Engineering Manager is available.

Qualifications

• Strong Java engineering background with API and microservices experience.
• Proven leadership skills to coach and develop a team.
• Experience with Spring Boot, React, and cloud platforms a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 6-8 engineers, setting goals and tracking milestones.
• Support the team with architectural direction and code reviews when needed.
• Drive delivery on greenfield projects and enable rapid progress.
