An Engineering Supervisor (Electrical Bias) is needed to lead a team of 8 maintenance engineers at a busy recycling facility in Nottinghamshire. You will oversee both planned and reactive maintenance, drive continuous improvement, and maximise plant uptime on a 4-on 4-off day shift.

The role requires hands-on electrical fault finding, strong leadership, and the ability to manage contractors while ensuring strict health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualifications in engineering or a related field.
• Experience in the industrial or manufacturing sector.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of 8 maintenance engineers.
• Coordinate planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown activities.
• Ensure maximum plant availability and equipment reliability.
• Provide hands-on electrical fault finding and technical support.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with site Health & Safety procedures.
• Monitor engineering KPIs and maintenance performance.
• Manage contractors and specialist service providers on site.
• Support project work, installations, and equipment upgrades.
• Work closely with operations to optimise production performance.
• Conduct regular team meetings, appraisals, and training activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records through the CMMS system.
