Job summary
A leading recycling and resource recovery business in Nottinghamshire is seeking an Engineering Supervisor (Electrical Bias) to lead a team of 8 maintenance engineers at a busy facility. You will oversee planned and reactive maintenance, drive continuous improvement, and maximise plant uptime on a 4-on-4-off day shift.
The role requires hands-on electrical fault finding, strong leadership, and safe working practices.
Qualifications
- Experience leading maintenance teams in industrial/manufacturing environments.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to engineering.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of 8 maintenance engineers.
- Coordinate planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns.
- Maximise plant availability and equipment reliability.
- Provide hands-on electrical fault finding and technical support.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce downtime.
- Ensure engineering activities comply with Health & Safety procedures.
- Monitor KPIs and maintenance performance.
- Manage contractors and on-site service providers.
- Support project work, installations and equipment upgrades.
- Collaborate with operations to optimise production performance.
- Conduct team meetings, appraisals and training.
