The role leads the maintenance function at a busy processing facility, guiding a team of engineers to drive reliability, performance and continuous improvement across the site.

As Engineering Manager, you will shape site strategy, develop a high-performing team and make a real impact within a growing organisation.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering leadership experience.
• Knowledge of PLC fault finding and diagnostics.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets and KPIs.
• Familiarity with CMMS/Maintenance Management Systems.
• Excellent communication and people-management skills.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of maintenance engineers.
• Drive a proactive preventative maintenance culture.
• Oversee all planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Manage engineering budgets and maintenance expenditure.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with statutory inspections and Health & Safety regulations.
• Manage engineering stores and critical spare parts.
• Support equipment upgrades, capital projects and new installations.
• Manage external contractors and suppliers.
• Improve plant reliability, efficiency and overall site performance.

Monday to Friday, Days | 37.5 Hours | Permanent

About You

You’ll ideally have experience as an Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, Engineering Supervisor, Reliability Manager or similar within a manufacturing, recycling, production, process, or heavy industrial environment.

You will also possess:

• Strong engineering leadership experience
• Knowledge of PLC fault finding and diagnostics
• Experience managing maintenance budgets and KPIs
• Familiarity with CMMS/Maintenance Management Systems
• Excellent communication and people-management skills
• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
