Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking an Engineering Supervisor in Cumbernauld to oversee facility operations, drive preventative maintenance, and deliver value across client sites. You will manage a portfolio of buildings, mentor maintenance technicians, coordinate vendors, and prepare performance reports.

The role requires FM knowledge, leadership skills, and relevant certifications, with standard hours 8am–5pm and overtime possible.

Qualifications

• FM knowledge is required.
• 18th Edition OR F-Gas certification.
• Apprentice trained is advantageous.
• Strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of facility operations, including electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security systems, and building automation.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and ensure adherence to these schedules.
• Respond to and resolve client requests and maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
• Manage and oversee vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts, managing performance, and ensuring quality of service.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with building systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned facilities and the surrounding area.
• Assist with the development of proposals and bids for new business.
• Opportunity to grow, supervise and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and other facility staff.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on facility performance, maintenance activities, and financial metrics.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Supervisor in Cumbernauld to oversee the operation of our managed facilities.

The Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for managing a portfolio of buildings, ensuring preventative maintenance is performed, responding to client requests, and identifying and pursuing opportunities for facility improvements and additional service offerings.

The Role

• Monday – Friday
• 8am – 5pm
• Overtime available
