Job summary

Modis is seeking a Sourcing Lead (Engineering) in Stevenage to drive procurement across the Mechanical Structures domain. You will lead RFx events, collaborate with Category Managers and stakeholders, and push for supplier onboarding to strengthen the UK supply chain.

Role requires CIPS qualification or equivalent, strong negotiation skills, and ability to balance technical excellence with commercial outcomes in a long-term contract setting.

Qualifications

• CIPS qualification or equivalent procurement experience.
• Experience running complex RFx processes and supplier selection.
• Understanding of sourcing across product life cycles (NPI to sustainment).
• Ability to analyse open-book cost models and drive TCO reductions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support procurement activities for the Mechanical Structures domain.
• Spearhead RFx events with stakeholders and commercial teams.
• Develop supplier relationships and drive supply chain resilience.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and risk mitigations.
