Job summary

ARM seeks an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join a skilled procurement and supply chain team supporting complex engineering programmes. You will lead end-to-end procurement from RFQ to contract award, and manage suppliers of Mechanical Assemblies, PCB/PCB-A, Box Builds and Cable Harnesses.

The role requires strong negotiation, supplier relationship management and coordination with Engineering, Operations and Quality to meet Schedule, Cost and Technical requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience procuring engineered or technical items.
• Strong negotiation and contractual skills.
• Ability to manage multiple suppliers and procurement activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities including RFQs, tenders, supplier evaluation, negotiation and contract award
• Procure complex engineered and drawn items including Mechanical Assemblies, PCB/PCB-A, Box Builds and Cable Harnesses
• Manage Strategic, Critical and Tactical supplier relationships to meet Schedule, Quality, Cost and Technical requirements
• Negotiate commercial agreements to achieve best value while identifying and mitigating supply chain risks
• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions and improvement plans
• Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality and other stakeholders
• Manage supplier agreements and purchase orders in line with governance
• Provide supply chain support to bids and proposals
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across procurement and the wider supply chain

Senior Procurement Specialist - Engineering

We are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join a highly skilled procurement and supply chain team supporting complex engineering programmes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional with strong experience sourcing engineered and build-to-print products, who is comfortable managing suppliers from initial RFQ and negotiation through to contract award, delivery and ongoing performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities including RFQs, tenders, supplier evaluation, negotiation and contract award
• Procure complex engineered and drawn items including Mechanical Assemblies, PCB/PCB-A, Box Builds and Cable Harnesses
• Manage Strategic, Critical and Tactical supplier relationships, ensuring delivery against Schedule, Quality, Cost and Technical requirements
• Negotiate commercial agreements to achieve best value while identifying and mitigating supply chain risks
• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions and improvement plans where required
• Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality and other internal stakeholders
• Manage supplier agreements and purchase orders in accordance with procurement governance and processes
• Provide supply chain support to bids and proposals
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across procurement and the wider supply chain

What We're Looking For

• Strong procurement experience within an engineering, manufacturing or technical environment
• Demonstrable experience procuring complex drawn/build-to-print items
• Experience buying products such as Mechanical Assemblies, PCB-A, Box Builds and/or Cable Harnesses
• Strong supplier management experience, including resolving complex cost and schedule challenges
• Excellent commercial and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple suppliers and procurement activities simultaneously
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience identifying supply chain risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies
• Good understanding of procurement governance, procedures and compliance

Desirable

• Previous defence or aerospace supply chain/procurement experience
• Experience supporting bids and proposals
• CIPS qualification
• Full UK driving licence

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance.
