Job summary

Elix Sourcing Solutions is seeking an Engineering Shift Manager in Scotland to lead a small team of engineers on a 4 on 4 off day & nights shift pattern. The role focuses on maintenance planning, improving reliability and CI across a fast-paced manufacturing site.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on maintenance experience in FMCG environments and a formally registered mechanical/electrical apprenticeship, with strong leadership skills to drive progression for engineers.

Qualifications

• Formally qualified apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Experience in food or FMCG manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and team management on shift.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a small shift of engineers on site.
• Plan and manage maintenance schedules and activities.
• Coordinate engineering tasks and respond to breakdowns.
• Support with hands-on maintenance as required.

Are you an engineer with strong leadership qualities, looking to step into a shift manager position? Are you looking join a well-established manufacturing company where you will have responsibility for the maintenance on shift?

You will have responsibility for managing a small team of engineers on shift, coordinating and delegating engineering activities and will use your technical expertise and experience to plan maintenance activities and respond to any breakdowns and reactive requirements across the site. There may be a requirement to support with hands on maintenance.
