Job summary

Escape Recruitment Services is seeking an experienced Engineering Support Manager in Scotland for a 12-month FTC within a drinks manufacturing environment. You will lead engineering compliance across capital and site projects and drive improvements in efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities include coordinating commissioning, handover, and liaising with OEMs and contractors. Strong knowledge of CMMS, documentation and risk assessment is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree and recognised apprenticeship, ideally Mechanical or Electrical.
• Experience in FMCG, food or drinks manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of engineering compliance, machinery safety and risk assessment.
• Understanding of CDM 2015.
• Experience with CMMS systems and strong IT/documentation skills.
• Excellent communication, influencing and contractor management skills.
• A structured, analytical and completer-finisher approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering compliance across capital and site projects.
• Act as the Engineering representative at project meetings.
• Review and manage technical files, drawings, certification and documentation.
• Ensure machinery meets safety, statutory and engineering standards.
• Coordinate commissioning, operational readiness and asset handover.
• Work with OEMs, contractors and site teams to resolve technical issues.
• Drive continuous improvement using tools such as 5S, A3, Fishbone and 5 Whys.
• Support improvements in equipment performance and OEE.
