Job summary

Labman is seeking an experienced, hands-on Engineering Project Manager to deliver turnkey projects up to £3m for clients worldwide. You will lead teams of engineers, ensuring projects are delivered on budget and on time, with strong input from the Labman team.

You will mentor internal staff and align development with sustainability and future growth. The role is based in North Yorkshire with periodic international travel and a focus on delivering high-quality automation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical or software).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience within project management.
• Proven history of delivering projects on time, within budget and within scope.
• Experience developing detailed project plans and allocating resources.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary engineering & design environments.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team and influence others.
• Experience with ISO13485/ISO9001 standards.
• Knowledge of machine safety and compliance standards.
• Experience delivering automation or robotics projects.
• Experience managing projects under GMP framework.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from conception to delivery and support.
• Collaborate with customers to understand requirements and develop proposals and costings.
• Maintain priorities, track progress and adjust to changing requirements.
• Act as a role model with a proactive engineering mindset.
• Promote knowledge sharing and teamwork across the business.
• Organise projects with short/long-term plans, costs and resources.
• Manage and monitor progress against commitments with customers.
• Develop robust business cases with costed options for decisions.
• Role based primarily in North Yorkshire with occasional international travel.
