What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Engineering Resources Manager, you will lead a team of Engineering Coordinators in developing and coordinating engineering solutions for transmission networks (132kV and above) across Civil, Plant, P&C, OHL, Cables, and associated equipment. You will provide detailed engineering specifications, technical support, and site input throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring feasibility, compliance, and innovation in designs.

• Lead and manage a team of Engineering Project Managers coordinating specifications and designs for key transmission projects.
• Oversee recruitment, induction, and performance of Engineering Coordinators.
• Ensure efficient team operations in line with Engineering Key Performance Indicators.
• Assess engineering documentation for feasibility, compliance, and budget accuracy.
• Manage external design contractors, consultants, and surveyors.

What you’ll bring

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience ideally Chartered or working towards professional membership.
• Strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven expertise in one or more areas of transmission network engineering (33kV–400kV).
• Experience in electricity network construction projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster effective collaboration.

As a minimum, you will demonstrate:

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record in delivering complex engineering solutions for high-value projects.
• Ability to influence senior managers and stakeholders.
• Competence in writing clear and concise technical reports.
