Job Description

Responsible for delivering the capital plans for the site, enabling the site to achieve the profit and performance targets set by the Site Engineering Manager. Specifically, this involves costing and managing capital projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and with zero harm. Drive continuous improvement to maximise operational effectiveness and efficiencies through the development of people, processes, and systems.

Set improvement strategies for departmental KPIs, aligning with the group, mission, vision, and values as outlined in the Premier Provider Plan.

What will I be doing?

• Manage site capital investment plans, delivering capital spend in line with targets.
• Ensure projects are managed within governance frameworks and in accordance with Pilgrim's and Moy Park procedures.
• Produce site layouts for proposals and maintain existing layouts.
• Manage requests for capital through the AFETS system.
• Raise and receipt orders through SAP.
• Inform regulatory bodies as required, such as CDM, Planning, WRAS, etc.
• Investigate emerging processes and technologies to provide innovation and improve production efficiency.
• Develop payback projects and produce robust justification to secure funding.
• Collaborate with Process Development, Category, NPD, and site Operations, Technical, HSE, and Hygiene teams.
• Support the site engineering team with non-capital projects.

What will I need to have?

• Level 5 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
• AutoCAD experience.
• CDM experience.
• Experience managing and controlling multi-disciplined engineering teams and projects, including contractor control, financial control, and contract management.
• Detailed engineering knowledge of modern, continuous food production processes and factory services.
• Good working knowledge of associated engineering disciplines including Environmental Management, Health and Safety management, and Food safety.
• Detailed knowledge of utility and services installations.
