A leading power engineering company in Yorkshire seeks a Project Manager to oversee a variety of schemes, including power supply upgrades and grid connections. The role offers remote work flexibility and requires strong commercial and project management skills. Candidates with backgrounds in utilities, construction, and engineering are encouraged to apply.
Project Manager wanted to join a power engineering company, based in Yorkshire.
The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring the delivery of a range of schemes, including substation replacements, power supply upgrades and grid connections. Duties will include managing the entire process from cradle to grave, factoring in look aheads and anticipating any obstacles to smooth and successful project delivery. The Project Manager will also attend site visits and client meetings.
This is not a site-based Project Manager role, and is especially suitable for someone with experience running projects from a consultancy perspective. Strong commercial skills are essential, as is familiarity with MS Project. A background working on HV projects is desirable, but not essential, and applications are welcome from Project Managers with experience of general utilities, construction, engineering, rail, telecoms etc. A demonstrable track record of delivering multi-disciplinary projects is needed.
The role is available to Project Managers wishing to work remotely. However, preference is for applicants to be based within a sensible drive of the Sheffield area / South Yorkshire.
