Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Limited in Manchester is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead a portfolio of process-improvement projects on a fast-paced FMCG site. You will combine hands-on engineering with project leadership to deliver improvements that boost production efficiency, equipment reliability and product quality on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering engineering improvements within FMCG or food manufacturing.
• NVQ Level 3 in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 17th Edition electrical qualification.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and process-improvement projects from concept to completion.
• Investigate recurring production issues and implement sustainable solutions.

Ganymede is supporting a food manufacturing business in the appointment of an Engineering Project Manager at its site in Manchester.

This role will suit an engineering professional who can combine hands‑on technical knowledge with project leadership, delivering practical improvements that increase production efficiency, equipment reliability and product quality within a fast‑paced chilled food manufacturing environment.

Take Ownership of Engineering Projects

You’ll lead a varied portfolio of improvement projects from initial investigation through to implementation, working closely with Engineering, Operations and wider site teams.

Projects could include reducing recurring equipment defects, improving production processes, supporting new product trials and strengthening food‑safety controls. You’ll be responsible for developing workable solutions, engaging stakeholders and ensuring improvements deliver lasting results on the production floor.

The Role

• A mechanical and electrical qualification at NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• 17th Edition electrical qualification.

• The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and compliance.
