Job summary

BAE Systems in Rochester is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead engineering programmes within the Electronic Systems team. This on-site role runs for 12 months with a rate of £52.46 PAYE or £70.81 Umbrella per hour.

Responsibilities include delivering projects on time and within budget, providing technical direction, and coordinating with customers, suppliers and internal teams. A strong aerospace/defence background and degree (or equivalent) are required, with ~10 years

Qualifications

Proven experience leading engineering projects involving electronic or real-time systems.
Strong technical engineering background.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to lead teams and take ownership of project delivery.
Aerospace or Defence industry background; around 10 years' engineering experience; progression from engineering to project management.

Responsibilities

Manage engineering projects through the full project lifecycle.
Provide technical leadership and direction to engineering teams.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required standards.
Liaise with customers, stakeholders, suppliers and support functions.
Monitor project schedules, costs and risks.
Support and guide engineering teams to achieve project objectives.
Drive continuous improvement and best practice.
