Job summary

BAE Systems in Rochester is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead engineering programmes within the Electronic Systems team. The role is on-site with a 12-month duration and an emphasis on delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership to cross-functional engineering teams, manage risks and stakeholder expectations, and drive continuous improvement across programmes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering projects in electronic or real-time systems.
• Strong technical engineering background with excellent communication.
• Aerospace or Defence industry background preferred.
• Around 10 years of engineering experience and progression to PM.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects through full lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership to engineering teams.
• Ensure delivery on time, within budget, to standards.
• Liaise with customers, stakeholders, suppliers and support functions.
• Monitor schedules, costs and risks.
