Are you a Maintenance Manager or Engineering Planner seeking a 6-month Fixed Term contract?

Working as an Engineering Planning Manager within a highly skilled engineering team, you will maximize plant reliability and performance to meet quality standards and customer expectations. You will manage the preventative maintenance system to reduce downtime and equipment damage.

The Role

As our Engineering Planning Manager, you will ensure effective maintenance support, collaborating with Reliability Managers and site leads to plan and schedule all maintenance activities, including backlog, spares, and materials. You will support plant criticality reviews, review maintenance plans, establish critical spares, and serve as the key user for the SAP PM maintenance system and reporting.

You will ensure stock availability for planned maintenance and oversee contractor safety in line with risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and scheduling risk-based maintenance strategies
• Planning shutdowns and follow-on works
• Maintaining data integrity within the CMMS system (SAP)
• Anticipating and ensuring availability of materials for work orders
• Evaluating the effectiveness of maintenance tasks based on KPIs
• Managing service contracts and external supplier relationships
• Controlling contractor activities and RAMS
• Possessing experience in engineering planning, contractor and stores management
• Using software such as Microsoft Office and SAP proficiently
• Applying analytical and problem-solving skills to anticipate and address issues
• Ensuring a safe working environment, with knowledge of H&S standards like IOSH
• Developing effective communication and long-term relationships with stakeholders
