Job summary

Cummins Inc in Darlington offers a 12-month Current Product Placement in Engineering within Cummins Emissions Solutions. You will support product issue resolution, analyze data, and collaborate with global experts to drive timely solutions.

The role provides hands-on exposure to engineering practices, enables development of data-analysis skills with vehicle data and Matlab, and involves participation in team activities and community events.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or STEM fields.
Excellent computing skills and experience with Microsoft Office desirable.
Understanding of how a diesel engine works and basic knowledge of aftertreatment systems.
Good teamwork, communication, and ability to prioritize tasks.
Enthusiasm and strong interest in Engineering.

Responsibilities

Support identification, resolution and implementation of fixes on key product issues with Automotive OEMs.
Possible site/field visits for current product issues.
Participate in product issue projects following a 7-step process including fault tree analysis and data analysis.
Vehicle and test cell data analysis using Cummins tools and Matlab.
Collaborate with global experts to drive resolution for end users.
Involvement in placement student team community events and charity activities.
