Job summary

Dutton Recruitment are recruiting an Engineering Operative for a permanent role based with our client in St Helens. Immediate start subject to interview. Monday to Thursday 8:00–16:30, Friday 8:00–13:30.£14.48/h up to 37.5h, £19.15/h after 37.5h.

Role involves general engineering and workshop duties, supporting production, handling components, and maintaining safety. Experience in engineering/manufacturing is advantageous; must be practical, reliable, and detail-oriented, with a strong

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are recruiting:

We are looking for an Engineering Operative a permanent position based with our client in St Helens

Immediate start available (subject to interview process)

Rate of pay is £14.48 per hour for first 37.5 hours and £19.15 per hour after 37.5 hours

This will be working Monday to Thursday 8am -4:30pm and Friday 8am - 1:30pm

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with general engineering and workshop duties.


• Supporting production and manufacturing processes.


• Handling, moving and preparing engineering components and materials.


• Carrying out basic finishing duties, such as fettling, deburring and cleaning components, where required.


• Using hand tools and workshop equipment safely.


• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised working environment.


• Following health and safety procedures at all times.


• Working effectively as part of a team to meet production deadlines.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment would be advantageous.


• A practical, hands-on approach to work.


• Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.


• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
