Job summary

Contechs Consulting in Chirk, Wales, seeks an Engineering Manufacturing Lead to oversee all engineering operations within our manufacturing process plant on a 6-month contract. You will lead a multidisciplinary team across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines, drive reliability, safety, and efficiency, and shift maintenance from reactive to preventative/predictive.

This role requires strong lean experience (5S, Kaizen, VSM, TPM), CMMS (SAP), and ability to align engineering

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering/maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience implementing lean techniques (5S, Kaizen, VSM, TPM).
• Transition maintenance from reactive to preventative/predictive models.
• Strong CMMS knowledge (ideally SAP).

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff across disciplines.
• Drive lean manufacturing across engineering and maintenance activities.
• Own plant asset management strategy and lifecycle costs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
