Job summary

Randstad Technologies Recruitment in Manchester is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team migrating our legacy SAP EEC system to SAP S/4HANA (RISE with SAP). You will drive people leadership, platform health and high-stakes delivery outcomes.

While not a day-to-day coding role, you will maintain technical credibility to guide architectural decisions and mentor a high-performing backend and data engineering team in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of formal Engineering Management experience.
• 10+ years in Backend Software Development.
• Experience leading legacy-to-cloud migrations or major replatforming.

Responsibilities

• Lead & Mentor: Directly manage and grow a team of backend/data engineers.
• Strategic Delivery: Shape roadmaps with Product and Architecture while ensuring SOX/GDPR compliance.
• Technical Excellence: Own production systems, reduce technical debt, and advance cloud-native practices.
