Qualifications

• Strong experience in engineering design within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in engineering leadership, supervisory or management roles.
• Knowledge of CAD design processes and technical drawing.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across the business and guidance on engineering matters.
• Lead, mentor and develop a small team of Engineers and Designers.
• Oversee R&D and new product development from concept to production.
• Develop robust and commercially viable engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and Technical teams to resolve complex issues.
• Understand applicable technical standards, regulations and requirements.
• Communicate complex technical requirements clearly to technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Support responses to complex customer technical queries with clear, commercial solutions.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Finance, Manufacturing and others to build robust business cases.
• Lead cost-reduction and value-engineering initiatives with measurable savings.
