Job summary

Polyframe in Lenwade is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the site engineering function, delivering planned and reactive maintenance, maximizing equipment reliability and minimising downtime.

You will drive TPM and FLM, manage budgets, lead projects from concept to commissioning, oversee contractors, promote Lean manufacturing, ensure safety and compliance, and develop the engineering team through coaching and succession planning.

Qualifications

• Significant engineering management experience in manufacturing.
• Qualified engineer with active professional affiliation preferred.
• Proven ability to lead maintenance strategy and cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an engineering strategy aligned with business goals.
• Lead Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and TPM programmes.
• Prepare and manage engineering budgets and CAPEX projects.
• Oversee external contractors and key stakeholders for projects.
• Develop and coach the Engineering team and apprentices.
• Promote Lean thinking, 5S and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
