Company Overview: I am recruiting for a leading service provider company seeking an Engineering Manager to join their team of engineers at their Glasgow facility.

Job Summary: The Engineering Manager oversees the engineering department, ensuring efficient manufacturing processes and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves managing a team of 8 engineers, providing hands-on support during breakdowns, and upskilling staff. Strong leadership and technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical machinery are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 8 engineers and technicians; foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement; collaborate with other departments.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements, utilize lean principles, monitor KPIs.
• Project Management: Plan and oversee engineering projects, ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery, coordinate with stakeholders.
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance, ensure compliance with standards; 50% management, 50% hands-on training.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical or Electrical background in manufacturing, service, or industrial sectors.
• At least 5 years in manufacturing engineering, with 2+ years in management.
