Job summary

Cleo is building the world's first AI financial assistant and now seeks an Engineering Manager to lead and develop high-performing engineering teams across multiple product squads. You’ll partner with Product and technical leadership to drive delivery, team health and longer-term strategy.

You’ll hire, coach and retain top engineers, foster strong collaboration across disciplines, and ensure delivery excellence on our Rails/Kubernetes stack while upholding engineering principles and values.

Qualifications

• Strong experience leading and developing engineering teams with a focus on performance and growth.
• Solid experience with Ruby on Rails and leading engineers in a production Rails environment.
• Experience delivering across multiple squads, balancing priorities with long-term strategy.
• Proven track record hiring, coaching and developing engineers at various career stages.
• Able to enable technical decisions with strong judgment and stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop engineers across multiple squads.
• Own team health, performance and engagement through regular feedback.
• Partner with Product Managers and Tech Leads to shape priorities and delivery.
• Own delivery outcomes across squads and remove blockers.
• Translate company priorities into clear goals for teams.
• Uphold engineering standards and drive technical decision-making.
• Hire and retain great engineers, building inclusive and high-performing teams.
