Job summary

Kingston Barnes Ltd is recruiting an Engineer Manager for a major food manufacturing site in South Devon. You will shape and deliver the engineering strategy, lead a high-performing team and drive improvements across people, plant and processes.

The site is expanding with increased production and new product development. You will manage budgets, capital projects, and ensure Lean, safety and environmental standards are met.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading engineering and maintenance teams in manufacturing.
• Strong budget management and project delivery skills.
• Solid understanding of Lean, reliability, safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Engineering Team to a high-performance standard.
• Ensure health and safety remain a top priority.
• Develop and deliver the site’s engineering strategy.
• Drive apprenticeships, training and personal development plans.
• Lead capital investment projects and manage budgets to improve manufacturing capability and performance.
• Optimise service contracts and operational costs.
• Collaborate with Site Leadership Team and Group Engineering Team to share best practices.
• Support development of people, plant and processes across the site.
