Job summary

Cognisant in Glasgow is seeking an Engineering Manager to own the engineering strategy and technical delivery for a range of developments.

You will lead a team of engineers and trainees, coordinate external consultants and ensure projects are delivered on programme while maintaining technical excellence and value for money.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication and pragmatic problem solving to balance design quality with project constraints.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of engineers and trainees.
• Experience delivering civil/infrastructure projects.
• Strong organisational and decisio n-making abilities.
• Excellent communication with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of Engineers and Trainees.
• Manage engineering activities from initial site appraisal through to site start.
• Appoint and coordinate external consultants, ensuring quality and timely delivery of technical information.
• Assess site constraints and develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Work closely with Construction, Commercial, Land and Sales teams to support business objectives.
• Oversee the preparation, review and issue of engineering drawings and technical documentation.
