Job summary

Vibe Recruit are recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing organisation in the Merthyr Tydfil area for an Engineering Manager. This senior role leads the engineering function and a small team, collaborating with manufacturing and operations to drive performance.

You will provide technical and people leadership, manage engineering projects and champion continuous improvement, quality systems and effective cross-functional teamwork across production and other departments.

Qualifications

• Engineering leadership and people management experience.
• Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment with cross-functional teams.
• Experience delivering engineering projects on time and to spec.
• Knowledge of quality systems and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small engineering team.
• Prioritise workloads and manage engineering resources.
• Support new product introduction and development activities.
• Collaborate with production and quality to resolve technical issues.
• Manage engineering projects from planning to delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement across engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure quality standards and procedures are maintained.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, reliability and capability.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
• Provide technical guidance to the wider business.
• Communicate priorities, progress and risks to senior management.
