Job summary

Vibe Recruit are recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing organisation in the Merthyr Tydfil area who are looking to appoint an experienced Engineering Manager. In this role you will provide technical and people leadership across the engineering function.

You will lead a small engineering team, manage priorities, support new product introduction and product development, drive continuous improvement, and ensure quality standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Relevant engineering qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electronics.
• Strong technical knowledge gained in manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams.
• Experience managing engineering projects and multiple priorities.
• Good understanding of quality systems and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a small engineering team.
• Manage engineering priorities, workloads and resources.
• Support new product introduction and product development activities.
• Collaborate with production and other operational teams to resolve technical issues.
• Manage engineering projects from planning through to delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement across engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure quality standards and procedures are maintained.
• Support equipment maintenance, reliability and operational capability.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and performance.
• Provide technical guidance and support across the wider business.
• Communicate engineering priorities, progress and risks to senior management.
• Support cross-functional projects and wider business improvement initiatives.
