Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting an Engineering Manager for a major recycling and resource recovery operation, stationed at the Glasgow/Paisley site in the United Kingdom. You will lead a multi-skilled engineering team, drive maintenance excellence and ensure safe, reliable plant performance.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on preventative and predictive maintenance, continuous improvement projects and managing engineering budgets to minimise downtime while complying with health and safety

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager or Senior Engineering leadership role.
• Background within manufacturing, recycling, waste processing, heavy industry or a similar operational environment.
• Experience managing multi-disciplined engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of mechanical and electrical engineers.
• Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Ensure breakdowns are managed effectively to minimise downtime.
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Identify and deliver engineering improvement projects.
• Manage engineering budgets and control maintenance expenditure.
