Job summary

Michael Page in Glasgow seeks a General Manager to lead our Scotland facilities, driving safety, quality, efficiency and profitability. You will own full P&L, ensure SHEQ compliance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

The role requires exceptional leadership in a manufacturing/recycling setting, with responsibility for budgeting, forecasting and developing the management team to achieve strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operations in manufacturing/recycling sectors.
• Strong understanding of SHEQ compliance and standards.
• Demonstrated ability to manage full P&L including forecasting and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall operational performance, safety, quality and profitability for Scotland facilities.
• Ensure compliance with UK legislation, ISO, and environmental requirements.
• Own the site P&L, including financial forecasting, reporting and margin improvement.
• Foster a culture of safety, engagement and continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop the management team and operational workforce.
• Prepare financial forecasts and monitor operating costs.
• Act as the accountable person for site Health & Safety.
• Oversee quality management system and product standards.
• Drive workforce planning, recruitment and succession development.
