Mapbox is seeking an Engineering Manager for Incidents to lead a multi-disciplinary team delivering live road updates through scalable backend services, data pipelines, and AI Agentic workflows.

You will drive day-to-day management, sprint planning, on-call practices, and customers-focused feature delivery while scaling the team and aligning with Mapbox priorities. Thousands of users rely on our services daily in a fast-evolving platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical hands-on engineering experience.
• 5+ years of people management experience across remote engineering teams leading to product execution and business outcomes.
• Deep knowledge of building scalable web services and data pipelines in AWS.
• Culture of quality, monitoring, metrics, triage, and iterative improvement with well-designed interfaces, documentation, and thorough code reviews.
• Ownership of vision, strategy, and execution to build the future of the product.
• Strong customer focus and ability to translate customer problems into solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for a wide audience.
