Job summary

Valeo Foods is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Gateshead site engineering function. You will drive reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations while developing a high-performing engineering team.

You will shape the engineering strategy, lead capital projects, manage budgets and ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance across the site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior engineering role within food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
• Experience leading site services and maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and maintenance strategy aligned to site objectives.
• Drive preventative and predictive maintenance to maximise reliability.
• Ensure resources support performance and customer requirements.
• Manage CapEx and OpEx budgets and contractor costs.
• Lead safety, quality, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Develop and coach a high-performing engineering team.
