Siemens Mobility is seeking an Engineering Manager – Cybersecurity to join Chippenham or Ashby offices. Lead a growing cybersecurity team, embed security into projects, and drive governance across product and solution security lifecycles.

You will shape and grow a specialist cybersecurity function, ensuring lean, effective and scalable security processes while delivering secure rail infrastructure solutions for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering, cybersecurity or assurance teams.
• Practical understanding of cybersecurity risk management and secure engineering delivery.
• Ability to work across technical, project and governance communities.
• Experience developing processes, competence frameworks or delivery standards.
• Strong stakeholder management with customers, regulators and leaders.
• Experience applying IEC 62443 standards.

Our portfolio includes the provision of event driven control and monitoring solutions tailored for Centralised SCADA & Line-wide systems, Stations & Utilities, Power SCADA, Control Systems, Tunnel Ventilation, M&E, and many more. We undertake the full engineering delivery life cycle across various projects.

We have an exciting opportunity to join Siemens Mobility as an Engineering Manager – Cybersecurity to join either our Chippenham or Ashby office. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape and grow a specialist cybersecurity function supporting complex rail infrastructure programmes. You will combine people leadership, practical cybersecurity expertise and engineering governance experience to help project teams apply security requirements consistently and deliver safe, secure and resilient systems for customers.

Reporting to the Head of Technology, you’ll lead and develop a growing cybersecurity team, which is currently 12 people and expected to expand. You will also provide technical and people leadership across Rail Infrastructure, embedding Siemens Product and Solution Security and wider cybersecurity obligations into projects, products, solutions and governance activities. As part of this role, you’ll also be accountable for the consistent delivery of Security Risk Management and Product and Solution Security lifecycles, the approval of cybersecurity project deliverables, and the continuous improvement of cybersecurity processes, tools and strategy so that they remain lean, effective and scalable.

You’ll make a difference by

• Developing, implementing and maintaining Product and Solution Security (PSS) and cybersecurity processes and report progress against security governance targets
• Developing and managing the engineering competence process for Product and Solution Security activities within Siemens Rail Infrastructure
• Developing and maintaining cybersecurity solutions that support Siemens Rail Infrastructure products and project solutions
• Managing the delivery of security assurance and security engineering activities across Siemens Rail Infrastructure
• Preparing and maintaining a programme of work for the Security Assurance and Security Engineering teams
• Managing recruitment, onboarding and training for the Security Assurance and Security Engineering teams

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven experience leading engineering, cybersecurity or assurance teams
• Practical understanding of cybersecurity risk management, assurance and secure engineering delivery
• Ability to work effectively across technical, project and governance communities
• Experience developing processes, competence frameworks or delivery standards
• Strong stakeholder management skills with customers, regulatory bodies and internal leaders
• Ability to build capability in a growing team while maintaining delivery quality
• Proven and practical experience of applying the IEC 62443 standard series.
