Job summary

Civil Works Alliance is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead construction engineering for Sizewell C, ensuring safe, high-quality, programme-driven delivery across major work packages. You will coordinate pre-construction teams, client representatives, technical specialists and supply chain partners, embedding digital engineering and BIM while overseeing temporary works and interfaces.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, strong project experience, HSQE expertise and leadership in a

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong civil engineering and construction experience with major infra projects.
• Experience managing Temporary Works and HSQE requirements.
• Good understanding of earthworks, geology, materials and methods.
• Ability to interpret detailed design drawings, specs and quality requirements.
• Demonstrable project management skills, including planning and scope.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Digital engineering capability with BIM tools.
• Problem-solving mindset with practical engineering solutions.
• CSCS Card holder.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering delivery across methods, temporary works and permanent works.
• Drive 'Right First Time' culture focusing on safety, quality and schedule.
• Manage technical interfaces and practical solutions for site challenges.
• Oversee temporary works, setting out, surveying, and materials assurance.
• Build and lead engineering teams with required resources and processes.
• Embed digital engineering and BIM to improve delivery.
• Ensure compliance within a regulated nuclear construction environment.
