Job summary

Phlo is seeking an Engineering Manager in Glasgow to lead multiple cross-functional squads, own delivery, raise engineering standards and drive impact for patients and partners. You’ll shape how teams work, with autonomy to decide and grow the organisation.

You’ll steer AI-native engineering, work across stack including TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node, Kubernetes and GCP, and stay hands-on with code reviews while mentoring engineers. Hybrid working and strong culture are offered.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers across cross-functional squads owning end-to-end areas.
• Reshape squad work around AI tooling and measure impact on speed/quality.
• Drive small, frequent releases and improve cycle time.
• Hire strong engineers, set goals and coach performance.
• Own delivery, collaborating with Product Owners and Principal Engineers.
• Oversee engineering practices and production systems, including reviews and releases.
