Job summary

Zebra People is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead an AI-focused governance, risk and compliance team. This hands-on role blends people leadership with technical fluency to deliver reliable products at scale. Expect about 50% office time with flexibility on days.

You will guide engineers building secure, scalable microservices and APIs on AWS using TypeScript, partnering with Product, Security, DevOps and senior leaders to improve team effectiveness and outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with leadership of engineers in an agile environment.
• Experience building cloud-native microservices in AWS.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support a team of engineers, clarifying priorities and growth goals.
• Plan and deliver roadmap commitments with cross-functional partners.
• Improve delivery environment, remove blockers, and reinforce engineering practices.
• Maintain technical depth to guide design discussions and risk reviews.
• Promote AI-enabled, responsible development and governance considerations.
• Support hiring, feedback, and career development.
