Job summary

CV Consulting in Milton Keynes is seeking an Engineering Maintenance Manager to lead a team of maintenance engineers, ensuring reliability and availability of critical site equipment. You will drive preventative maintenance, promote a proactive engineering culture, and champion Health & Safety to support operational excellence.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will manage KPI delivery, lead capital projects, and coordinate contractors, while guiding continuous improvement and budget management

Qualifications

• Experience leading an engineering function and personnel.
• Electrical engineering qualifications (NVQ, C&G, HND or HNC).
• Track record of improving department performance and implementing new processes.
• Experience in FMCG/manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work within the site engineering team.
• Deliver on KPIs such as Planned maintenance, Health & Safety, and quality.
• Provide technical leadership and proactive maintenance strategy guidance.
• Drive continuous improvement projects across the site.
• Manage on-site contractors and field services.
• Oversee budget management and CAPEX planning.
• Support 24/7 operations with reliable equipment.

Job description

Engineering Maintenance Manager, Milton Keynes, Salary £65,000

As Engineering Manager, you will lead the day-to-day activities of a team of maintenance engineers, ensuring the reliability and availability of all production and site-critical equipment and be responsible for the smooth running of the Engineering Department. You'll drive preventative maintenance strategies, promote a proactive engineering culture, and champion the highest standards of Health & Safety to support operational excellence across the site. You'll be responsible for maximising equipment reliability and managing CAPEX projects, and ensuring engineering excellence across a 24/7 operation.

The Engineering Manager will report to the Site Manager and have strong proven leadership skills, man management and support experience and be responsible for:

• Coordinating work within the tea
• Adhering and delivering on KPI’s e.g. Planned maintenance, Health and Safety and quality
• Providing technical leadership – guiding the team on a proactive approach to preventing equipment failure
• Continuous improvements Projects
• Contractors on site
• Budget Management
• Capex Projects

The successful Engineering Manager must have:

• Experience of Leading an engineering function and engineering personnel
• Possess appropriate qualifications applicable to an Electrical Engineering discipline ( NVQ , C&G, HND or HNC )
• Track record of improving department performance and creating and implementing new processes/ways of working
• Experience of working within a FMCG environment but other manufacturing environments may be considered.
