Job summary

Escape Recruitment Services is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to take ownership of the engineering and maintenance function within an established site-based operation.

Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will lead engineering strategy, ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations, and drive continuous improvement across safety, quality and environmental frameworks.

Qualifications

• Experience managing engineering and maintenance in a site-based operation.
• Strong understanding of engineering compliance, maintenance systems, and health & safety.
• Experience with ISO 9001, statutory compliance, COSHH, risk assessment, permit-to-work and environmental management.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to take ownership of the engineering and maintenance function within an established site-based operation.

Reporting directly to the Factory Manager, you will be a key member of the site management team, responsible for ensuring engineering activities support safe, reliable and efficient operations.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Engineering and maintenance strategy
• Engineering resources and budgets
• Plant and equipment reliability
• Statutory inspections and compliance
• Risk assessments and permit-to-work systems
• Engineering records and performance reporting
• Safe commissioning of new or relocated equipment

You will also work closely with senior management and other departments to continually improve engineering standards and ensure the site operates within its required quality, safety and environmental frameworks.

You should have strong experience within a manufacturing, production, process or industrial environment, together with a good understanding of engineering compliance, maintenance systems, contractor management and health & safety.

Experience with ISO 9001, statutory compliance, COSHH, risk assessment, permit-to-work and environmental management would be highly beneficial.
