We are seeking an Engineering Manager with hospitality experience to join our Management Team.

With a preventative planned maintenance schedule in place, you will be responsible for the repair of all guest rooms, public and service areas of the hotel, ensuring they are well maintained at all times. You will regularly inspect the entire building, paying particular attention to defective or deficient life safety features and observing the condition of all operating equipment.

You will:

  • Prioritize fire, life, and safety at all times, ensuring systems are operational, with particular regard for health and safety management.
  • Maintain equipment, the building, and grounds in good operational condition, focusing on energy conservation and waste minimization, in compliance with local regulations and Hyatt standards.
  • Manage your budget, ensuring optimal use of resources versus costs, and compliance with all local regulations and codes.
  • Build strong connections between Maintenance and Operations teams.
  • Lead all engineering activities within the hotel.
  • Collaborate with Rooms, Food & Beverage, and other departments.
  • Develop a strategic team focused on efficiency and exceeding customer expectations.

About you:

You are a people-focused, team player, with strong leadership and excellent people management skills. You operate with genuine care for the well-being of guests and colleagues, and believe in creating a caring environment that allows people to excel.

You are an effective communicator at all levels, including with contractors, and can be firm when necessary. With a smart appearance, inquisitive nature, and a drive to achieve excellence, you are a good problem solver.

Ideally, you hold an engineering degree or similar, with a focus on mechanical or electrical engineering. You will already be an Engineering Manager or a strong Assistant Engineer (or equivalent) with facility management experience in a luxury hotel, hospital environment, or similar. Hyatt colleagues operate in an environment demanding exceptional performance and rewarding great efforts. If you're ready for this challenge, we are ready for you!
