The Role

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for the following:

1. Developing and promoting company, factory, and team plans through effective communication and focused implementation to achieve objectives.
2. Managing, motivating, and developing the team via performance reviews to ensure objectives are met through teamwork.
3. Providing engineering and technical expertise to apply IMS tools and techniques for continuous improvement across manufacturing capabilities.
4. Managing a team of 20+ engineers, team leaders, and shift managers.
5. Analyzing system data and conducting root cause analysis.
6. Identifying areas for improvement and implementing LEAN manufacturing principles.
7. Overseeing installation and upgrade projects.
8. Ensuring all contractors have work permits.
9. Conducting appraisals, 1-2-1 meetings, and recruitment.
10. Providing staff training and ensuring H&S compliance within the engineering department.
11. Running management meetings and compiling reports on OEE, PPMs, breakdowns, and improvements for senior management.

The Candidate

To be successful as an Engineering Manager, you should have:

• Previous experience as an Engineering or Maintenance Manager.
• Experience in an automated or semi-automated production environment.
• A recognized engineering qualification.
