Babcock Barrow-in-Furness is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead engineering supportability for the UK future submarine programme. Based in Barrow, you will influence design, build and maintenance strategies and act as the senior engineering representative across industry partners and defence stakeholders.
You will manage cross-functional teams, drive availability and safety of submarine systems, and travel to other sites as required.

As an Engineering Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll play a pivotal role in influencing the design, build, supportability and long-term availability of the UK's future submarine fleet. Working at the heart of one of the most significant defence programmes in the country, you'll act as Babcock's senior engineering representative, collaborating with major industry partners and defence stakeholders to ensure the insights of the in-service maintainer are embedded into future submarine capability
35 hours per week, based at Barrow-in-Furness. Hybrid working patterns are available. Travel to other Babcock sites will be expected, including Devonport, Clyde and Bristol
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
