Funding Circle in London is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to join the CRI Engineering team within Core Services Engineering. You will provide technical authority, shape delivery across multiple domains, and drive architectural decisions in a high‑impact fintech platform.

You’ll work on a mix of Ruby, Python and Clojure systems, lead and mentor engineers, collaborate with product managers, and promote responsible AI tooling to improve reliability and velocity for lenders and investors.

Qualificações

• Track record of owning complex, ambiguous delivery across teams.
• Mentoring and coaching experience with feedback culture.
• Experience in Python, Ruby or Clojure.
• Strong stakeholder management across engineering and product partners.
• Recognised technical authority with peers seeking guidance.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tooling to raise engineering standards.

Responsabilidades

• Lead your team(s) to deliver large, complex initiatives across boundaries.
• Champion engineering-led improvements and define cross-team standards, including AI tooling.
• Solve technical problems and act as technical authority for your domain.
• Drive technical strategy aligned with commercial outcomes and customer needs.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager and Product Manager to set vision and roadmaps.
• Make durable, scalable, secure architectural decisions and own outcomes.
• Communicate with stakeholders at all levels and manage adaptively.
