Job summary

SGI in London seeks an experienced Software Engineering Lead to shape a strategic Data Technology Platform. You will lead a team delivering scalable cloud-native solutions across front, middle and back-office functions.

The role focuses on engineering excellence, defining technical direction, and collaborating with product managers and stakeholders to deliver high-impact data platforms in a hybrid London setup.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software engineering teams within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong background in software development using C#/.NET, Python, Node.js or React.
• Experience building and supporting large-scale data platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Azure cloud technologies.
• Commercial experience with Snowflake and modern data architectures.
• Exposure to API-driven and distributed systems.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for engineering excellence.
