The Engineering Lead will provide hands‑on technical leadership while formally managing a small team, delivering reliable backend services and a scalable platform. You’ll collaborate with Product, Design, and Trading to translate complex problems into simple, robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Significant backend engineering experience at senior or lead level.
• Strong Python skills or willingness to learn Python.
• Experience setting technical direction and leading a team of 3–4 engineers.
• Solid database and production‑engineering fundamentals including AWS, CI/CD and observability.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on technical leadership while managing 3–4 engineers.
• Write production code and release features, and contribute technical designs.
• Set pragmatic technical direction and lead system design across clients, APIs, data, infra and integrations.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and Trading to turn opportunities into milestones and releases.
• Champion effective testing, observability and safe release practices.
