National Westminster Bank Plc offers an eight-week Engineering internship structured around agile delivery, AI-assisted practices and NatWest ways of working. You will contribute to real projects in scrum teams and gain exposure to business technology across Retail, Wealth, Commercial & Institutional and Customer & Operations.

Expect daily stand-ups, sprint demos, and senior-leader networking. Ideal candidates are penultimate-year STEM students with a 2:1, strong communication and data mindset,

Qualifications

• Penultimate-year university student in a STEM subject.
• Achieve a 2:1 in STEM.
• Clear communication and ability to explain ideas.
• Curious, logical mindset with passion for solving problems and emerging technologies including AI.
• Confidence working with data, statistics, and experimentation.
• Flexible attitude, comfortable with change and continuous learning in evolving tech.
• Drive to learn, grow, and make an impact.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in real engineering projects.
• Attend daily stand-ups in Scrum teams and participate in demos/retros.
• Develop engineering skills through agile practices and AI-assisted methods.
• Attend networking events to understand engineering contributions to the business.
• Learn how engineers collaborate across NatWest product areas.
• Build understanding of NatWest products/services for customers and colleagues.
