Job summary

NatWest is offering an Engineering internship that immerses you in agile ways of working and real business projects within our Technology function. You’ll join Scrums, contribute to live engineering work, and be mentored by engineers shaping our digital banking platforms.

Over eight weeks you’ll develop your engineering skills with AI‑assisted practices, attend networking and tech spotlight events, and gain a clear view of our graduate programme and how engineering drives customer value.

Qualifications

• Penultimate year of university
• On track for a 2:1 in a STEM subject
• Clear communication and ability to break down complex problems
• Curious, logical mindset with a passion for solving problems and emerging technologies including AI
• Confident working with data, statistics and experimentation
• Flexible attitude, comfortable with change and continuous learning
• Drive to learn, grow and make an impact

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in real engineering projects
• Attend daily stand ups in your scrum project teams and take part in end-of-sprint demos and retros
• Develop engineering skills through agile methodologies and AI-assisted practices
• Attend networking events and learn how engineers contribute to the broader business and customers
• Build understanding of products and services and how engineering adds value
