Job summary

Greencore's Engineering Graduate Programme in London is a three-year, site-based development path designed to make you a subject matter expert in infrastructure and utilities within a leading food and drink business.

You will work hands-on from day one on real projects, rotate through three 12-month placements across different UK locations, undergo technical reviews, and learn how to balance safety, cost, and production needs while aiming for a permanent role after completion.

What you'll be doing

Our 3-year Engineering Graduate Programme is your launchpad into a career at the heart of Greencore and is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue a career in Engineering, becoming a subject matter expert in infrastructure and utilities within a food and drink business. From day one, you will get hands-on with real projects, working alongside leaders on site and subject matter experts (SMEs) who will help you build technical depth, confidence, and experience to grow into a senior leader or SME, whether through capital projects or infrastructure and utilities. You will be involved in technical performance reviews, continuous improvement activities, and learn how to apply engineering practices that comply with food safety, health and safety, environmental, sustainability, and engineering regulations and standards, while balancing business considerations such as cost, service level agreements, and production needs and outputs.

What we're looking for

• Motivation to build a career in food manufacturing with a future role as a senior Manager within Engineering.
• A curious mindset and a drive to challenge conventional practices.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• Keeping informed about current affairs and the latest food trends.
• Achieved or expected to achieve at least a 2:2 honours degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Electrical, Process & Thermal, or Mechanical).
• At least three months of relevant work experience; project delivery, governance, and cost control experience would be desirable.
• Right to work in the UK for a minimum of 3 years from September 2027.
• Clear commitment to advancing your career in the food industry.
• Willingness to complete three 12-month placements at different locations across the UK (preferences considered).

• Having a full UK driving licence is essential.
