Job summary

McLaren Automotive Ltd seeks talented graduates for a two-year Engineering Graduate rotational programme at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, Surrey. You will design, develop, and deliver next-generation high-performance vehicles, gaining broad engineering experience across multiple teams.

Through four six-month rotations you’ll work on real projects with industry-leading engineers, developing technical capability and leadership skills for a future permanent role within McLaren

Qualifications

• On track to achieve, or have achieved, a 2:1 or above in a relevant Engineering degree.
• Passion for high-performance vehicle design, engineering, and innovation.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative, fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience across McLaren's Engineering teams through four rotations.
• Contribute to design, development, and validation of products.
• Work on components and systems integration for vehicle programmes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate concepts into production-ready solutions.
• Assist in prototype builds, testing, and data analysis to validate designs.
• Use CAD and simulation tools to optimise components for weight and manufacturability.
• Support engineering change processes to implement design improvements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing to meet cost, quality and timing.
• Engage in performance testing and data-driven refinements.
• Participate in professional development, innovation challenges, and knowledge-sharing.
